Although one of the major attractions of St. Lawrence County is its majestic beauty and untamed natural resources,the county also offers a comfortable and economically sound place to live.  From every corner of the county there are cities, towns, villages and hamlets that offer a wide variety of services to accommodate a wide variety of lifestyles.

 There are places of worship to satisfy a multitude of religious beliefs and schools to educate the children and young adults of the county.  There are colleges and universities, local school districts as well as religious and alternative educational opportunities.  The region boasts eight local chambers of commerce with the necessary resources to help residents old and new become more aware of what is available in each of the localities.  Government offices also offer information for current residents as well as those looking to relocate to the area.

 The day-to-day services are abundant in the county with health care facilities always a short distance away.  The local media outlets offer daily and weekly updates on television, radio, Internet and print.  Information and entertainment for the whole family is available at the many local libraries or at the local movie theaters.  The Eisenhower Locks, The Remington Museum and the New York Power Authority Visitors Center are just a few of the places of interest in the county.  There are also many nearby attractions for residents and visitors of all ages.

 The county offers a variety of shopping options from unique and handmade products found only in St. Lawrence County to national brand items in malls and shopping centers across the county.
